Fully Automated Textile Processing Machine (Details)

1. Textile Uptake and Accumulation (including Piece Goods Combining System)

This module is meant as an accumulator and joiner to allow for the primary processes of the machine to operate on a continuous basis. It consists of a clamp and traveling sewing head (Kaolin Mfg., Model Siruba 747E), to allow for the joining of pieces/rolls of cloth which will operate independent of the balance of the process. It also consists of a large scray to allow for the accumulation of joined cloth.

2. Roller Feed Alignment
This module draws cloth out of the accumulator scray and utilizes a pneumatically controlled tack roller for alignment of the cloth prior to it entering the first sewing module. Cloth is fed down a vertical wall and under an operator catwalk for consistent alignment into the following module.

3. Double Edge Sewing (Selvedge)
This module utilizes two sewing heads to stitch the Selvedge sides of the cloth for hemming purposes. Sewing head specifications are as follows:
Manufacturer: Pegasus
I - E52L-1301504-253 W-6 Left Hand, Two Threads, Overlock with Chain Cutter 1 - EX5203-221233-6 Right Hand, Two Threads, Overlock with Chain Cutter

4. Heat Seal Label Applicator & Transfer Printing
Product marking module enabled for two types of applications to be permanently affixed to the product being processed. The first device contains a storage tray, and servo driven vacuum transfer I heat press device to automatically apply iron on labels at a consistent location on the product (Typically Mil-Spec. Labels, approximately 2"x 3" in dimension) The second device enables the application of Heat Transfer Decals (up to 12" x 12") to be indexed and applied at a flexible location on the product.

5. Panel Cutting
Utilizing a traveling clamp and draw process, measured increments are drawn out, and cut utilizing a transverse mounted traveling rotary blade. Range of available "cut" lengths is from 50" to 100" (Inches). Simultaneous to this cutting process, the materials are transferred to a belting system which begins to move the material at a perpendicular direction from prior processes. This enables the subsequent stitching to occur on the edges which have been cut at this module.

6. Double Edge Sewing (Cut Sides)
This module utilizes two sewing heads to stitch the sides of the cloth cut by Module 5 for hemming purposes. Sewing head specifications are as follows: Manufacturer: Pegasus
1 -- E52L-l 30/504-253 W-6 Left Hand, Two Threads, Overlock with Chain Cutter 1 - EX5203-221233-6 Right Hand, Two Threads, Overlock with Chain Cutter

7. Care Label Insertion at Side Stitch
This feature allows for pre-printed labels to be stored, indexed, and cut to length. Once the labels have been cut, it is pneumatically inserted into the feed belt system, and
held in position as the cloth travels through Module 6 above. It provides an automated method for stitching "Care Labels" right into the stitched hem.

8. Folding Station
Using a system of belts and paddles, this station enables the machine to fold the previously processed materials into an appropriate size for either packaging or storage.

9. Label Application (Pre-Printed Stickers)
This device stores and applies pre-printed adhesive (Peel and press) labels to the product if desired. The device automatically peels the labels from their spool, and applies the label to the product as it passes by.

10. Packaging
Utilizing Polyethylene film and "L" Bar sealing devices, this module encapsulates or "packages" the product as it travels along a belt conveyor.

11. Label Application (Pre-Printed Stickers)
This device stores and applies pre-printed adhesive (Peel and press) labels to the product if desired. The device automatically peels the labels from their spool, and applies the label to the product as it passes by.

12. Programmable Logic Controller with User Interface
Fully programmable package using Omron Logic Controllers. Utililizes commercially available software which can be manipulated into infinite variations.
Please note: Modules 9 - 11 are easily rolled on or off the line, and may be used intermittently with minimal effort.
